19-09-05 The persecution of the Deya family continues
GDM Ministry

On the 20th of August 2004, the Kenya Police raided my home in Mountain View, Kenya, took away my children and arrested my wife Mary. They attempted to charge my wife and I with murder, drug trafficking, abduction and child trafficking. They also unlawfully arrested Mrs Rose Kiserem and Mrs Nyeko a British woman who were in my home with my wife. They also arrested Mr & Mrs Odera the Kenyan couple who had unusual births..

A High Court judge in Nairobi summoned the Attorney General, Amos Wako, to court to explain why the Kenya Police unlawfully arrested my wife Mary, Mrs Nyeko, Mrs Odera and Mrs Kiserem, and hid them in an unknown place for more than seven days.

The Attorney General could not appear but sent his representative who appeared before the judge and claimed that my wife and I were murderers, child-traffickers, abductors and drug-traffickers. When the judge asked for necessary evidences to support the allegation, they could not produce such; rather they reduced the allegation to child theft, claiming that my wife and I stole our daughter Naomi from Pumwani Hospital. My wife gave birth to twins, Naomi and Jeremiah. Sadly Jeremiah died in 2004.)

The Kenya Police failed to find any evidence to substantiate that false allegation of child theft, and were unable to produce any evidence in court to support the charge. Attorney General Amos Wako ordered the Public Prosecutor Philip to drop the charges against me and my wife, Mrs Nyeko, Mr & Mrs Odera and Mrs Kiserem, who were unlawfully arrested.

In December 2004, the Kenyan Police re-arrested my wife, Mrs Nyeko, Mrs Odera and Mrs Kiserem on a bogus charge which have been dragging in the court for over one year now. Why did the Attorney General drop the charges if the police knew that they were only going re-arrested and re-charged my wife, Mrs Nyeko, Mrs Odera and Mrs Kiserem?

10th September 2005, “The CID officers, who arrested my wife last year, are the same officers who dragged her from a labour ward at Kenyatta Hospital today and behold, we are going through similar experience of 20 August 2004 all over again. I watched the news and to my surprise, my wife was picked up from the labour ward and dragged into the streets still wearing hospital clothes. A CID officer carried a black bin bag which they claim contains the placenta of my new born baby boy. The officers dragged my wife into the streets and claimed that her baby was more than two days old which is their calculated excuse to publicly humiliate her again. When they arrested her, they found the baby still attached to the placenta. How can a baby who is more than two days old still be attached to the placenta?

The CID officers claimed that they found my wife stealing a baby from a woman at the labour ward, in either Kenyatta Hospital or Nairobi Hospital, while the woman was giving birth. But if, as the officers claim, a baby was stolen from a woman in a labour ward in a hospital while the woman was giving birth, why can’t they produce this woman to back this story? That would at least give the public some form of evidence to support their allegation against my wife.

If Kenya CID officers’ allegation against my wife is not false, why can’t they bring forward the mother of the baby they claim my wife stole? If such a mother exists, is she dead or alive, or did a ghost bring a baby for my wife to steal? Any normal and reasonable person can see that there is foolishness in the accusation which the Kenya Police have made against my wife.

It is now more than seven days since the CID officers snatched my wife from the labour ward and dragged her into the streets and subjected her to public humiliation. They have never given her access to her lawyers, who filed an application to the court for her to be brought to the High Court on 14 September 2005. We are looking forward and believing God that they will horror this court order.

While my wife’s team of lawyers were waiting for her to be arraigned in the High Court, the police dashed her to a lower District Court in the ghetto of Kibera. I believe that is where they could find a judge who was willing to participate in their evil conspiracy charge which has been laid against my wife Mary.

How could the judge not ask the police, for the legal representatives of my wife before hearing the charges made against her, which is the common rule of law in any democratic society? Or Is Kenya turned into a police state? Was the judge aware that my wife has lawyers who have been representing her in court and the media? Does that judge have a wife and children? How would he feel if his wife was charged with an offence and one of his colleagues accepted to handle his wife’s case in a lower court, when her case was filed in the High Court? Does the District Court judge believe that his action demonstrated the good legal practice of the judiciary of the NARC regime?

What has my wife Mary done to the Kenyan authorities? Why have they refused her access to her lawyers and refused to allow her lawyers to speak on her behalf? If lawyers are not allowed to defend their clients, why are they lawyers?” Do the Kenya Police handle all the public the way they are handling my wife Mary?

Now the Kenyan authorities are asking again for me to be extradited from the UK. Which charge or charges am I going to answer? Are they the false charges of murder, child trafficking, abduction and drug trafficking, which they brought against me in 2004? Or am I going to answer to the charge of stealing my own daughter Naomi, a charge which was dropped by Attorney General on 10 November 2004? Is Attorney General Amos Wako now going to sign another extradition warrant, even though he himself dropped the bogus charge of child theft? Or are the Kenyan authorities about to fabricate more false charges in order to find a way to cut off my head?

Since the false allegations were made against us, I have not even travelled to Kenya, or even left the UK. Early this year, Scotland Yard Police from the UK and the FBI from the USA completed their investigations into this saga of lies and found me innocent. So what bogus charges are the Kenyan authorities going to manufacture against me now to try again to extradite me?

What have I done to the Kenyan authorities for them to be treating my family and me so cruelly? Last year 53 couples were bribed by Kenyan authorities to claim our children but I believe that this year no woman will accept a bribe to claim our newborn son. The same police officers, who raided my home on 20 August 2004, raided my home again on the 10 August 2005. What were they trying to plant in my home this time like they attempted in 2004. Last week they went to my home village of Bondo and tried to snatch my brother’s child. (My brother Charles Deya is a councillor with Nairobi City Council.) Why are they persecuting my family?

The NARC regime is acting outside the law. In 2004 the Scotland Yard in the UK and the FBI in the USA started investigations into the false charges of murder, child trafficking, abduction and drug trafficking that my enemies brought against me. They completed their investigations this year and found that I am innocent, which many people knew from the beginning.

I am pleading with President Kibaki of Kenya, Attorney General Amos Wako and the Kenya Police to release my wife Mary and leave her alone. I have been married to her for many years and I can confirm that she is not a thief. I know her as a woman of God. Everybody in Kenya saw my wife’s protruding tummy recently. Now she has given birth, why do they refuse to accept it? Why are the authorities in Kenya so blind?

I thank God I am a free man in England and I am still preaching the ‘Good News’ of the gospel of our Lord Jesus Christ. I praise God for the democracy in the UK because the women in the UK who have given birth unusually have never been arrested, tortured, humiliated and shamed by the media.” The way my wife has suffered in the hands of the Kenyan authorities in Kenya.
